I have five years of off and on experience. I am on Eastern Standard Time. I have job with sometimes rather insane hours and two nieces to take care of. That being said, threading is a lot more convenient for me than AIM as I don't always have the best attention span for scenes through instant messages.
At this time, I only play straight characters and I lean more towards women than men. I will try a male character but I personally feel as if I'm not that great at them. I don't write sex scenes so you can pretty much bank on it that my lines will not be smut lines. I'm all for fading to black with you. I'm just not comfortable writing out those things as I have no personal experience of my own.
As far as lines go, I don't do fandom or anything like that. PB only. I'm open to all kinds of PBs but I do have faces I prefer to use which can be found in the icons. For me, lines don't need to be strictly a boy/girl possible romance line. I'm more than willing to do a best friends line with characters of the same sex (or opposite) or sibling lines.
I love journal-based lines so I prefer that we have journals designated for our characters. I always try to create a fact sheet for my character for easy reference later. Also, depending on the line, I like using the journals as a place for my character to express himself/herself if need be kind of like would be done in a community. When that is done, I tend to have a community available for threads to be posted in. This always isn't necessary but most of my journals always has a voicemail/email post backdated to the top of the journal, just incase. Think of it as being set up like for a community game but without that game.
